Today Zac Efron turns 24, and we hope, he’ll make some time to celebrate accordingly.
This busy guy, who officially split from Vanessa Hudgens late last year, has spent this past year working hard.
He started 2011 filming New Year’s Eve and logged time on four other films just this year alone!
Zac’s also been MIA from the red carpet scene…

He hasn’t been snapped on a red carpet since May of last year! Looks like this hottie is trying to lay low these days, which we kind of get, but we miss seeing his gorgeous face.
Moving forward, hopefully he’ll be able to balance both work and play. Oh, and find some time to date! Although he’s been linked to a few girls, including Teresa Palmer and Rumer Willis, Zac is still on the market.
Who do you think should be his next lucky lady?
An exclusive report from Deadline announces that Seth Rogen and Zac Efron will appear in an untitled R-rated comedy by Universal Pictures. The film sees Rogen as a regular guy who’s family life is affected by the crazy behavior of a college boy (Efron) who lives in a nearby frat house. While Rogen clearly has the relative credentials from films such as “Knocked Up” and “Pineapple Express” (just to name a couple), this is a genre that will certainly be a new step for Efron, who’s films post-High School Musical have mostly been serious dramas. Sure, he did make us laugh in “17 Again“, but that was still good, clean-cut humor. With the film being pitched by writers Andrew Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, the jokes will probably not be as wholesome. Needless to say, we cannot wait.
Rogen will produce the film alongside Evan Goldberg, but no director is attached to the film as of yet, nor has any production dates been set.

We have a brand new layout thanks to the wonderful Unlimited Designs. I feel in love with this pre-made and had to use it for the site. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do. Comment away! I am in love with this layout!
I know that title is a lot to take in. Let’s break it apart. Yes, Zac Efron and Dennis Quaid are going to work on a film together. Yes, that film will be the next from Ramin Bahrani, who has been on the forefront of the modern neorealist movement. And finally, it will be about farmers.
Variety brings us the news from Cannes, where the film is being shopped. Quaid presumably plays “a farmer whose manic expansion alienates his sons (Efron being one, likely) and devoted wife.” Sounds a bit like There Will Be Blood crossed with the upcoming (excellent) Take Shelter.
Bahrani hasn’t had a misstep yet, delivering a distinctively personal story with each one of his features (Man Push Cart, Chop Shop, and Goodbye Solo). One wonders if the bare, minimal budget style of these films will continue with his next. I hope so, and that its the reason Efron and Quaid are on board. Both of these men have rarely stepped outside of their comfort zone as of late, and with their talent, this project has defnitely jumped up a few notches on my must-see list.
The film will start shooting this summer. In the meantime, check out Bahrani’s latest work, the Werner Herzog-narrated short Plastic Bag below.

Zac Efron and his little brother, Dylan, root for the Lakers as they play at the Staples Center on Wednesday (April 20) in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old actor and his bro really got into the game, standing up and cheering after great plays. In the end, the Lakers beat the New Orleans Hornets with a score of 87-78!
Earlier in the week, Zac went out with friends to check out the Plan B concert at the El Rey Theatre – the British rapper was celebrating the U.S. release of his latest record, The Defamation of Strickland Banks.
